Hi All,
Today, I would like to introduce you about canned Coffee in Japan. I love Japanese canned beverages, especially in the winter seasons. I have been living in almost 1.5 years in London and visited more than 15 countries in Europe but never seen the vending machines like ones you normally can see in Japan. The feature of the Japanese vending machines and what I love about is that they offer very warm (actually, hot) drinks.
The red sign below on the vending machine means that the beverages are warmed up and the blue sign shows the beverages are cooled (you normally do not see red signs in Summer).
I introduce some of the very famous canned coffee brands in Japan as follows;
1. Coca Cola: GEORGIA

2. Suntory: BOSS

3. KIRIN: FIRE
http://www.kirin.co.jp/products/softdrink/fire/
4. ASAHI: WONDA
http://www.asahiinryo.co.jp/wonda/index.psp.html
To be honest, I cannot find any difference among those Brands’ products. They are all very good!
And here’s some of canned coffee offered in Japan.

2. GEORGIA Emerald mountain
3. BOSS Rainbow Mountain
4. FIRE Double Mountain

Thank you! I am traveling to Japan for the first time next week and I can't wait to try some of these!
ReplyDeleteThank you very much for your comment!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you will be amazed with the vending machine. Some of them sells warm bottled tea, too. I'm still wondering why these machine companies don't export their products. If you interested in other variety of drinks than coffee (or anything else), please, let me know. I will show you some more drinks (or other things) which fit with your preferences.
I'm sorry, I forgot to tell you one thing. Please, enjoy your visit!
ReplyDeleteThank you! What are some of the other popular drinks, besides coffee? I have heard of Calpis water and Pocari Sweat...
ReplyDeleteThere's some Hot English/Japanese Tea ("GoGo no Koucha": Straight, Milk, Lemon, sugar free, Green, there are cool teas as well) (http://www.kirin.co.jp/company/news/2014/0807_02.html), Aquerius (similar with pocari sweat) (http://www.coca-cola.com.sg/beverage_benefits/aquarius.asp), Calpis Soda (http://calpissoda.jp/cs/), Takara Granted Apple ("Surioroshi Ringo" https://www.eatsmart.jp/do/caloriecheck/detail/param/foodCode/9900590000003), POM Orange juice (http://mij-only.com/food/en/pomjuice.html). Maybe you cannot find the apple juice and orange in the vending machines but they are in most of convenience shops. I hope those information helps you.
